This seven-piece band from Davis has done things the old-fashioned way - earning everything they have with blood, sweat and tears shed on stages throughout the US. It's been more sweat than anything else based on the practically inhuman volume of energy output they generate throughout the course of their relentless performances!
Boot Juice defies the typical assumption that a big band with horns is sticking to the well-worn path of funk and jazz. They certainly infuse those genres into the mix, more than anything though, this is an unabashed cosmic rock band intent on taking audiences into an alternate dimension of pure freedom and dance euphoria where the outside world ceases to exist.
Established in 2022, Black Barrel and the Bad Men is a Motown, Blues and Americana inspired 5 piece band from Chugiak, Alaska. Known for their live performances, unique songwriting, and Father-Son rhythm section, they have quickly made a reputable name for themselves in the Alaskan music scene. Members of the band are life long friends from small town Alaskan roots.
It wouldn’t be HatcherRomp! without Blackwater Railroad making an appearance. With over ten years of rocking, national and international tours, and a dumb looking guy with a keytar, Blackwater is sure to bring the party and keep the fun times rolling all fest long.
One of two solo artists we are featuring this year at HatcherROMP, Hunni Davis has been making waves in Alaska as a stunning new voice in Country and Folk music. Her heartbreaking soulful slow jams, boot-stomping country tunes, and haunting folk melodies blend into an intimate experience that you won't soon forget.
Local legend Jerry Wessling and his Band are a high energy Alaskan Country group based out of Palmer! Artist and singer-songwriter Jerry Wessling is known for his high-flying guitar skills and interactive stage show. Jerry sings songs of Alaska, old and new classics, and original music that gets crowds across the state moving and singing along.
Küf Knotz (Producer/MC) and Christine Elise (Harpist/Vocalist) have brought their unique blend of hip-hop, soul and classical traditions to various communities. The unlikely pair connected and built a similar bond to creating positive, forward thinking music fusing boom bap era and lo-fi inspired beats supported by the harp. Their performance takes you on an era fusing, genre bending journey. And, you can dance to it!
One of Alaska’s fastest-growing artists, Pepper Kit has been captivating the local music scene after launching her music career in late-2019. Her empowering originals will hit you right in the feels with their beautiful melodies and raw, honest lyrics.
Pepper is the mastermind behind the Girl Crush event series, Anchorage’s only regular musical showcase featuring an all-female lineup. She’s funny, honest, and a bit lovingly self-deprecating, treating every audience like they’re close friends. Pepper Kit released her debut EP “Stranger” in July 2022 and is currently working on producing new music.
Roland Roberts is able to blend an array of genres into a captivating yet delicate musical experience. With comparisons to the likes of John Prine, his storytelling and stage presence have entertained audiences across North America. After recording his debut album, All About The Timing in Whitehorse, Yukon and settling in Hatcher Pass, Alaska, Roberts connected with drummer Matthew Wallace. They soon added talented multi-instrumentalist Matt Faubion and bass player extraordinaire Garrett Monroe creating the Roland Roberts Band.
Shake City String Band is a folk band based in Anchorage that specializes in symphonic folk fusion. Their journey began with a shared passion for music and a desire to create something unique. They provide listeners and concert goers with an unforgettable experience that celebrates the rich history and diversity of folk music, by bending and blending genres, both with our reimagined arrangements and group-written originals.

Local rock trio The Jephries is recommended by 11/10 of dentists for all your musical needs. Only a band that makes music for "rocks and astronauts" could hit this hard. After last year, we knew we needed their good vibes and incredible songs back on the mountain for the festival!
This four-piece energetic band from Juneau features Anna Mahanor on rhythm guitar and vocals, Avery Stewart on lead guitar and vocals, Keenan Wright on drums and Jacob Eberhardt on bass. Self-described genre? Sad girl pop punk soaked in a cheap beer marinade. Your new favorite band? Probably.
Things are about to get heavy, this Anchorage band rocks hard. Wayward Shot has been thrashing across the highways and stirring up crowds everywhere they go! For fans of White Monster and shreddy guitars . Can't wait to rock out with them this July. Bring your neck braces!
A long time ago, a drummer lived in one side of a duplex while a guitarist lived on the other. Neither could file noise complaints. After finding more friends to play with Wiley Post was formed in January 2020. Wiley Post hits hard across Alaska with groovy indie rock songs about plants, runs in the mountains and the feeling of heartbreak that can only be amplified by long, dark winters.
